SEPET (CHINESE EYE)
Sepet is a story of unforbidden love between a Malay girl and a Chinese boy in a conservative Muslim setting (Al-Amin, 2006 and Osman, 2012). It is not unforbidden per say, but it is looked down upon and discouraged by the "dominant" race. The movie portrays the similar practices of different races such as filial piety.
